K12 Advisory Committee and Mentoring Group

The HEAL K12 Advisory Committee brings together program leadership from the University of Michigan, national experts in clinical pain research, and persons with lived experience of pain. Members guide the program’s direction, review scholar applications, and provide a national network of mentors for selected scholars.

Scholars

Each year, the HEAL K12 selects a new cohort of early-career clinician-scientists from a broad range of personal, institutional, geographic, disciplinary, and specialty backgrounds. Through tailored training and mentorship, scholars develop the skills and experience needed to become independent investigators and strengthen the nation’s clinical pain research workforce.
